This rare vintage African American doll from the 1930s is a true gem for collectors. I believe it was created by Ralph Freundlich based on exact similar dolls. This is a very large 20" to 21-inch baby doll, usually you see these old vintage dolls under 15" so this is a great find.
The doll Features black painted doll hair and eyes that twinkle with mischief. The doll's dark complexion and black eyes make it stand out, and it possesses all the charm of a doll from that era. In good vintage condition over all, few normal small stains and damaged to the head, noting major rugs can't fixed or painted. Note: the head fell off, it needs to be tied back to the body, based on my inspection the head has a metal wire on its neck, I believe you used that to tie the head down, but not sure, make sure to look at pictures and ask questions if any.
Made of composition and cloth, this doll is still in its original form and is an original product. This is a great addition to anyone's collection and is a must-have for all doll enthusiasts!
