This very rare early example of a wooden folk art black African American Dancing Sam doll is just wonderful. He is a puppet type toy and is very unusual and hard to find. Very seldom do you find these dolls in this good condition. He has nice facial paint with just a few worn areas.

His paint and costume are all original with no repaint. His wooden body is hand carved and fully jointed. He is a wonderful example of an early historical doll and would be perfect for that serious antique doll collector.
