I believe this is a second generation version as the packaging is slightly different compared to another version I have. The sides were changed to incorporate the Barbie head graphic and the interior cardboard was then cut to fit better in the new updated packaging. The first generation also had a blue "easy open" icon on the bottom of the packaging while this second generation has a pink "easy open" icon. Rare, new in box African American Video Girl Barbie.
