1965 excellent condition Polly Face mold, Sleepy Eyes, Madame Alexander Leslie Doll, Doll mythology says her mold was inspired by 1960s Actress Leslie Uggams. Dolls named Leslie by Madame Alexander, were only produced as African American dolls. Two head sculpts were used, Elise and Polly. Elise mold has a downturned smile, while the Polly face mood has the upturned smile. This Leslie is a Polly face mold doll.

She has soft vinyl, Head, Arms and Legs with a Hard Plastic Body. She has rooted hair and brown sleepy eyes.

This doll has her original hair set. Excellent Condition Means: All original. Her hose are matching her dress color appropriately, so they may or may not be original. She wears the hose she came to me with over 20 years ago.

I have replaced nothing on this doll. Close up of face shows a dimple in the vinyl on the left side of her face, outer cheek area and some small flaking in the lipstick or slight irregularity of her right lower lip paint lipstick color. She has small similar vinyl dimples in other areas, consistent with the vinyl manufacturing technology of the times. Vintage Dolls often have some element of old doll smell so please be.

Doll Kept Stored in Box, Photographed in this Box, BUT box not original to Doll so she will not come with a Doll Box. For safety and best results, Doll does not Stand Stable and well on her own so you will need a Doll Stand if you decide to display her.
